Dear Parents,

Mystic Middle School students will participate in Connecticut Mastery Testing as required by the state of Connecticut starting Monday, March 1st.  The testing schedule for grades five through eight is attached and is on our website under the CMT link. There are also practice games and strategies in that CMT link.   All students will be taking a practice exam on Friday, February 26th.

Since all students are required to participate in testing, there are several factors that you, as a parent, should consider to best prepare your child.  First and foremost, it is imperative that students make every possible effort to be in school during the testing window.  In the event of an unavoidable absence, make-up tests will be administered.  Please be aware that make up testing will take place during your child's regularly scheduled classes.  It is also crucial that students arrive on time to school during the testing window.  Students who arrive late will not be admitted to a testing session already in progress, and will be required to take a make-up test.  These students will be assigned to the office until the testing session ends.
