Watch for information regarding the PTO's upcoming Citrus fund raiser, which begins November 10th. All the proceeds go towards the individual child’s Washington trip accounts. Both oranges and grapefruit will be available for order. Questions? Call Paula Bovino.
The PTO book fair will take place the week of October 20. Family Night (as well as wrapping paper pickup) will be October 22nd.
Coming Soon: Apple Pie Afternoons
There is already one opportunity for volunteers to help. We are planning two Apple Pie Afternoons on November 13 and 20, both Thursdays. Students sign up to make an apple pie from scratch, with some adult assistance. These events were a lot of fun last year and the time commitment in small. Adult volunteers arrive at 2:30 and help students with apple-peeler-corers, adding special ingredients, mixing up dough, rolling it out, and then clean-up. The whole production is over at 3:45, when students pack up for the late bus. This event is free for students and sign-up sheets will be posted in November on the lobby bulletin board. 1. The next PTO meeting is Tuesday October 14th at 7:00 in Library. There will also be another PTO parent meeting run by Sue Lyon on Friday morning (at 9:00 am) October 17th in the Auxiliary Gym.
2. We will start collecting food for the PNC this week. Items for this fundraiser can be delivered to boxes outside the gym or in the office. Any canned goods or items for a Thanksgiving dinner would be greatly appreciated. Items must be in no later than November 10th.
3. Recipes for our cookbook fundraiser are coming in slowly. In order to make this a success we need many more recipes. Recipes for this fundraiser, planned for the second half of the year can be submitted on forms found online or written on cards or paper. The recipes can be sent into the office to be put into the PTO box.
4. The directory will be ready sometime in November. All student information must be entered through the school office and is a very time consuming job.
5. Delivery for the wrapping paper fundraiser will be Wednesday October 22 from 2:30 - 7:00. Please notify Paula Reid at 535-0536 if you need to arrange for a different pickup.
6. The Evergreen fundraiser will run from October 17th through November 3rd. This is the absolute deadline and no orders will be taken after that since we are expecting delivery the week after Thanksgiving.
