If my child is sick or going to be late, what should I do?When your child will be absent or tardy please remember to call the school at 535-2235 by 8:30 A.M. to let the office know. If you get the answering machine, just press #4 for absences and leave your child’s name, teacher’s name and the reason they are going to be absent or tardy. My child will be a new student at Deans Mill. How do I register?Come to the school to pick up a registration packet. Be sure when you register that you have proof of residency such as an electric bill, mortgage agreement or lease. If you would like to, call in advance and we can arrange a student-led tour for you. What time does school get out on a half-day?For grades 1 - 4 school gets out at 1:10 PM on regularly scheduled half-days (such as conference days). Kindergarten sessions are AM: 8:55 - 10:55 and PM: 11:10 - 1:10. For more detailed answers, please visit here. When I called during the school day, I got the voice mail. Why did this happen?When calling school during school hours please make sure you dial 535-2235 so that you will reach someone in the office. Otherwise, the phone will not ring and your call will automatically roll over to the answering machine. Messages on the answering machine are not listened to until the next morning. How do I get to Deans Mill School?From I – 95 take Exit 91. If traveling on 95 South, take a left at the end of the exit ramp. If you are on, 95 North, take a right at the end of the exit ramp. This puts you on Taugwonk Rd. Taugwonk Rd turns into 234-West/Pequot Trail. Travel 0.8 mile and take a left onto Flanders Road (after a big church). Follow that to the end (0.9 miles). Take a right at the stop sign. Deans Mill School will be on your left.
