H1N1 Vaccination Clinics

Ledge Light Health District has opened registration for H1N1 vaccination clinics to people aged 6 months - 18 years. Please see the Ledge Light Health District Website for up-to-date information and to register for the H1N1 vaccine. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail regarding the next available clinic.

Today isMonday, February 8, 2010 - For Grade 5, it is a 2 day. For Grade 6 it is week 1 day 2-2. For Grade 7, it is a A-2-2 day. For grade 8 it is a 2 day.

Today's Lunch isMozzarella sticks, bread sticks, dipping sauce, veggie dippers, hummus and fruit. Tomorrow's lunch is Rodeo burger on a bun with onion ring, oven fries, lettuce and tomato and fruit.

Attention 8th Graders - Today's Superlative pictures that will be taken during lunch will be "Dramatic".

Aerobics Class: Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. McCarthy are offering aerobics classes after school on Tuesdays in the cafeteria. If you are interested please see Mrs. Lamb or pick up a permission form from the office. The forms are due by Friday, February 12th. The first class will take place Tuesday after vacation, February 23rd. There will be 5 classes total this year.

Attention 6th and 7th graders Tomorrow will be the final turn in day for magazines. Besides the regular prizes, you will receive a Cyclops weelpul for one order and a boomerang for two orders.

Reminder: The St. Jude Mathathon is almost ready to get underway. Please bring your permission slips back to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. Remember, every student that participates by raising money for St. Jude will be part of the St. Jude Thank you party. Don't miss out on this special time of food and fun. I hear ice cream sundaes are on the menu! Let's make this the best year yet - those kids at St. Jude need our help more than ever. If you have any questions, just see Mrs. Bennett in Rm 113.

Unified Sports Bowling: Attention Unified Sports Bowling Team: If you haven't picked up your bowling shirt, please see Mrs. Lindeborg during homeroom this morning to do so. The Unified Sports bowling team should be dismissed from class at 9:45 AM to the office. The pep rally will begin at 10 AM. The Unified Sports bowling team will also be dismissed from classes at noon today to eat lunch together in the auxiliary gym prior to boarding the buses for the tournament. GOOD LUCK TEAM!

 


News from SPS Food Services - Make Your Salad or Grinder Unique.

Stonington’s School Nutrition program is pleased to announce the addition of a new salad bar/grinder bar toppings station in the Mystic Middle School cafeteria. A toppings station is available to students, teachers and staff who purchase a salad, grinder or alternative lunch from the cold lunch line. Click here for more information. Immunization Update:

It is anticipated that the vaccination against meningitis will become a requirement for 7th grade entry beginning in August of 2010.  Meningococcal Disease, commonly known as meningitis, is a potentially fatal bacterial infection. Although it is rare, the disease may be prevented through vaccination.   For more information, click here.
