  • The Cross-Country Team’s Dedication, Discipline and Determination have certainly paid off.  The team traveled to Cutler Middle School last Monday for a tri-meet with Cutler, Ledyard and Bennie Dover.  The girl’s team won 2 out of the 3 and the boys won 3 out of 3.  The top five runners for the girl’s team were: Jacqueline Albert, Rebecca Wuenscher, Tia La Fione Boye, Lauren Hultgren and Nicole Murphy.  The top five runners for the boys were: Ryan Lee, Dylan Jacobs, Ed Bockowski, Seth Berger and Noah Ralston.
  • The Panthers had their first home meet on Wednesday against Westerly Middle School.  The boys defeated Westerly with eight of our runners finishing in the top 10.  Ryan Lee and Dylan Jacobs came in first and second overall, Noah Ralston-4th, Ryan Cartier-5th, Brandon Kent-6th, Tyler Adams-8th, Josh Roberts-9th and Seth Berger-10th.  There were a total of 39 runners in the boy’s race.  Jacqueline Albert placed 4th overall and Tia La Fione Boye came in 10th out of 48 runners.  Lauren Hultgren, Nicole Murphy, Rebecca Wuenscher, Jennifer Murphy and Stephanie Albert were next in line for the Panther’s.  Even though the girl’s did not outrun Westerly, they gave 110% percent which makes them all winners!  Thank you to all the parents, friends and relatives that helped out with the meet and brought snacks for our runners.
  • The team travels to Pine Point this coming Monday.  All runners are encouraged to put in some miles this weekend.   The Pine Point course is longer than the rest- approximately 2 miles.  We will be running that course again on Saturday, November 3rd.  Keep up the great running Panthers!  Remember, Dedication, Discipline and Determination will help you achieve your goals.  We’ll learn about the last “D” and perhaps the most important one at practice on Wednesday.  Congratulations to all runners- Well Done!!
